We're Sarah & Safiyah, the sisters behind The Top Shelf Edit, a skincare-centered beauty photography blog established in 2018. Since then, we have pursued careers in medicine and health sciences, applying our knowledge to the online content we share to educate our audience on how to choose the best value products for specific skin concerns, budgets, and aesthetic preferences. Any time we have an Allies of Skin product on our skincare rotation, we know it's going to be a good skin day. The formulas are comprehensive, so we need fewer steps, efficient in revealing results, and luxurious in texture. Here's a look at our full Allies routine, from day-to-night:

To begin our day, we start with cleansing or in-shower masking with the Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser.

One pump of the Tranexamic & Arbutin Advanced Brightening Serum to tackle hyperpigmentation, then one pump of the Peptides & Antioxidants Advanced Firming Daily Treatment to maintain moisture. Finish off with The One SPF 50 Invisible Sunscreen Gel to protect and prime our skin.

To end the day, we melt off all makeup and sunscreen with the Vitamin C & Omegas Cleansing Balm.

We love the Copper Tripeptide & Ectoin Advanced Repair Serum in the evening to replenish and condition skin, followed by the Retinal (0.1%) & Peptides Advanced Repair Night Cream for a lasting congestion and fine-line preventative treatment.
